THE ARRIVAL🏟️
The Grizzlies rolled into the Saddledome in full Rockyview colours, jerseys on, ready to rep the Den at an NLL game. From the moment the squad hit the concourse, heads were turning — a whole pack of little Grizzlies walking through a pro arena is a pretty great sight.
THE TUNNEL🙌 MEGA HIGH-5
Before the game, the squad earned the Mega High-5 Tunnel — lining the hallway as the Roughnecks stormed out onto the floor for warmups. Gloves up, hands out, eye contact with their heroes, full-volume roars to send the Riggers into battle. The kind of moment that sticks with a kid forever.
THE GAME9 – 8 W
The Riggers and the Colorado Mammoth traded blows all night in a back-and-forth barnburner. The boys were locked in from opening faceoff to final horn — watching every shot, reading every play, and absolutely losing their minds on every Roughnecks goal. They saw lacrosse at the highest level with front row energy, and it showed on their faces the whole night.
THE CATCH 👕TUCKER FOR THE WIN
Howie the Honey Badger fired t-shirts from the arena floor all the way up to the second tier — and Tucker Swalm was waiting. One absolute cannon of a launch sailed two levels up through the air, and Tucker came up clutch with the grab of the night. Reeled it in with the whole team losing it around him. Tucker 1, Mammoth 0. 🎯
THE WAVE 🌊LOUDEST IN THE DOME
When things got tight late in the game, our Grizzlies took matters into their own hands — they started THE WAVE. Not just their section. The entire Saddledome. Section by section, arms up, all the way around. The kids worked the crowd like they owned the place, fueling the Riggers when they needed it most. A full arena wave, started by a group of U11 kids from Airdrie. Legendary.
THE VIBEUNLEASHED
Proud of this group. They showed up, cheered their hearts out, represented the Grizzlies with class, and had an absolute blast doing it. The kind of night that builds team chemistry faster than any practice could. On to the Bottle Drive and team lunch — let's keep the momentum going. 🐻🔥
FROM THE BENCH— KIM
"Good Morning! What a great game yesterday. I know the kids had fun, and a Roughnecks win is always a good way to end the night. Thank you to everyone for coming out — I know it was hard for the parents to socialize in that type of setting, so we'll look to set something up in the near future."
